Welcome to Michael Hodnett Art
We are honored you are here visiting our labor of love and passion. Concentrating the last 20+ years in schooling, training, and practicing the art of medicine I have turned part of my focus back to a first love, creating pieces of beautiful art! Join us as we start a new chapter in the beautiful journey we call life. With us are six other talented artists. Meet them below.
Michael and Renee
Michael and Renee
Patti Wilson
Born in Cordoba, Veracruz, Mexico and is a graduate from University of Las Americas. She developed a passion for art as a child by watching her father work on his oil paintings. Art and painting has always been part of her life. A “self-taught” painter, Patty works with water colors, charcoals and acrylics. She prefers acrylics because of the bright and vibrant colors. She is most inspired by ideas, moments and situations in life. She enjoys transforming these events into a beautiful works of art with every stroke of the brush. Patty loves to use texture in some of her pieces, but is most passionate when creating abstract paintings because each piece conveys a different intriguing message to the audience.

Linda O'Neal
Rebecca W. Dias
I am a self-taught artist and illustrator from Scottsdale, Arizona. Although I began my career in marketing and education, my need to color outside the lines has led me to pursue my creative interests on a deeper level than I could find at my desk. Currently, I am living and working in Navasota, Texas, as an artist-in-residence at the Horlock Gallery
Doug Hiser
Doug Hiser is an author of 26 books, including Amazon bestsellers, The Honey Bee Girl and Montana Mist. He is also a professional wildlife artist traveling the globe, from Africa to Australia, in search of the wild beasts that he paints. Teaching High School Arts, after years of research, he has developed an art history program featuring 4 x 4 sketches and 100 artists. Hiser works closely with the Houston Audubon Society and teaches workshops and demos in and around Texas promoting the conservation cause. He also has public art pieces and murals around Texas and once claimed fame on the America Gladiators TV Show and is most proud of his University of Houston Distinguished Alumni Award.
Ashley Smith
Ashley M. Smith, the artist behind See Life Art and Design, is a multimedia artist from League City, Texas. Her work is inspired by her own life experiences and is a reflection of how she sees the world. Though many of her pieces are acrylic paintings, Ashley works in a variety of media including watercolor, ink, chalk, and colored pencil, and chooses media that will best bring life to the subject or idea of the piece. After earning degrees in both Psychology and Art from Baylor University, Ashley has dedicated her artwork and her career to the marriage of the two worlds. She currently works as an Arts in Medicine Program Coordinator at MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas, where she provides Creative Arts programming to hospitalized children.
